Begoña Águeda Carrillo de Albornoz is Accenture Corporate Citizenship Lead for Middle East and Turkey, In this role she is responsible for setting the direction for corporate citizenship in the region, delivering on priorities and objectives across four program areas: Skills to Succeed Impact, Environmentally Sustainable Growth, Transparency and Accountability, and High Performing Network. She is part of the Responsible Business program to advance the SDG implementation within Accenture Middle East and helping companies in the ecosystem to become sustainable.
With 20 year’s professional experience in global organisations, she worked in Amnesty International as Director of the Language Resource, and was Head of Translation and Creative Services in Accenture Spain, where she also led the Training, Communication and Document Production areas. She has guided several organisations with consulting support in the areas of CSR strategy implementation and integration of language services into human-centric business models.
Her academic background includes a Diploma in Development Management by The Open University, an MBA by IDE-CESEM, Master’s Degree in Translation and Interpreting from Cluny, I.S.E.I.T. and Honours degree in English and American Studies, Literature and Linguistics from the Universidad Complutense and The University of Hull. Her most recent professional was Harvard Sustainability Strategy and training on the GRI Standards, being a GRI Certified Sustainability Professional now.
Of Spanish origin, she has lived in the Middle East since 2014 with her husband and three daughters.
