When we strive to ensure that one group’s rights are respected, we are advancing the rights of all. Children’s potential knows no race, income, ethnicity, or gender. Simply put, while equality focuses on leveling the playing field, equity focuses on giving every player a fair chance of succeeding on that playing field.
