RewirEd Summit in Brief

RewirEd Summit aims to collectively tackle education challenges by exploring entirely new approaches as well as offering participants a unique opportunity to agree on a shared vision and concrete action. It also serves as a timely reminder for countries to fast-track their efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 on education, while also showcasing success stories from around the world and exploring how these could be scaled up for enhanced global impact.

RewirEd Summit – 2021 Edition

The RewirEd Summit took place from 12th to 14th December 2021 at Expo 2020 Dubai. It was a first-of its-kind hybrid format, in the face of the ongoing global pandemic, welcoming Heads of State, Ministers, speakers and delegates, both in-person and virtually from across the world.

The RewirEd Summit was divided into three thematic days: Youth, Skills and the Future of Work; Innovation in Education and Education Financing, addressing the most critical issues affecting the global education sector globally. The Summit featured 500 speakers and brought together over 4,000 participants joining the debates, discussions and networking in person, while close to 1,500 joined virtually. Participants represented over 140 nationalities, resulting in a truly global conversation and ensured a mix of high level and technical debates with a strong focus on new forms of collaboration and partnership.
