Daniel’s commitments to change was shaped by his childhood in the favela.He is the founder and president of the International Youth Watch. He graduated from the Rio de Janeiro Law School and was a visiting student at Columbia Law School. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he mobilized his network to support young people and served as a Resilience Realities Researcher for Restless Development. He is a former member of the National Youth Council and served as a consultant for youth policies at UNESCO and the Rio de Janeiro Government. He is a speaker and co-author,and is part of the Research Sprint led by the Berkman Klein Center at Harvard University.
