Asheesh is the President and CEO of Junior Achievement (JA) Worldwide, one of the largest NGOs in the world dedicated to preparing youth for employment and entrepreneurship. In his capacity as global CEO, he serves on the boards of JA’s six regional operating centers: JA Americas, JA Asia Pacific, and JA Africa, INJAZ Al-Arab (JA MENA), JA Europe, and Junior Achievement USA.
Asheesh is a lifelong innovator with a passion for entrepreneurship in all of its forms. His first venture helped pioneer the business of peer-to-peer finance was acquired by Richard Branson’s Virgin Group. Subsequently, he served as CEO of Covestor, a venture-backed financial technology company that was acquired by Interactive Brokers. Asheesh started his career as a consultant at Monitor Group and the World Bank, where he conducted research on industrial clusters as a source of economic growth.
He is a graduate of the Wharton School and Oxford University, where he was a Commonwealth Scholar.
